The job fairs, and interviews are coming in and sometimes it is hard to not get overwhelmed nor thing that you have everything all together, but a time to continue to reflect on experiences and practices done in student teaching.
I would say out of the five points enlisted in the blog post, Getting Hired. 5 Tips to being the candidate of choice, I would consider being confident would be my strength. I of course am nervous when I have gotten to recent interviews, but the confidence that is within me in trying my best and having prepared and practiced using different scenarios has made me more confident.
I would say that Being Crisp is probably my weakness, but I do try my very best to say things that are unique and identify me as different. I always make sure to have a smile on my face, but could work on being more social and not just a question and answer process.
I would definitely add that as a person trying to be hired I would also recommend using real life experiences and also real scenarios that occurred. One piece of advice that I have received more than once is to always have three people/ students in mind that can give you different scenarios to present.
Best wishes on the hiring process and wish me the best as I continue my search for the school where I am going to motivate and encourage students!
